LLAIS (Formerly Known As Community Health Council)

LLAIS (Formerly known as Community Health Council (CHC)) is an independent statutory organisation that represents the interests of the patient and the public in the National Health Service.

LLAIS seeks the views of patients and the public to inform their work with the NHS, They inspect NHS premises and make recommendations for improvement where necessary. LLAIS also scrutinises the NHS and work with service planners and providers to improve the patient experience of services.

LLAIS provides a free and independent advocacy service that offers confidential support, advice and guidance for those wishing to make a complaint against the NHS.
